Untitled (Location: 75 Park Place)
2002, 15x22ft digital photo print on vinyl, stretched over wood frame structure

This piece was installed over a vacant storefront and is meant to mimic a construction blind. It is situated directly one block north of the World Trade Center site (WTC site is to the right of piece). The image is formed from a composite of photographs taken of the opposite side of the street, 75 Park Place, over the course of a day. The characters form a narrative of the post-911 condition of Lower Manhattan, and the world as well, with its heightened security, disaster tourism, 9-11 paraphernalia vending, constant press, Arab stereotyping, etc.
